Every Girl Talk show that I've been to has yet to disappoint... This one was especially great since I was able to get a photo pass (like I wished I'd gotten for Ladytron).

Gregg Gillis ride a wave of fratster/freakster sweat to unprecedented glory.

Late of the Pier - "The Bears are Coming (Emperor Machine Remix)"

The original version of this track says much in favor of the argument that Nottingham, U.K.-based outfit Late of the Pier isn't just another dance-rock foursome to be written off in the blink of an eye. In fact, the track is less dance-rock than it is experimental pop that explores the possibilities of both guitars and laptop-generated sound on an equal level, and it's fun too. Andy Meecham (a.k.a. the Emperor Machine) chose to focus on the more electronic side of things for this remix (hardly a surprise), stripping the vocals, upping the snares, slowing the tempo, and letting the whole thing ride to a grinding halt at the end. It's a much more haunting affair than something you'd throw on at an afternoon house party, but nonetheless shows off the band's versatility when it comes to the remixes.

New Guns 'N' Bombs track

“Riddle of Steel,” electro duo Guns ‘n’ Bombs' driving, four-to-the-flour second (and final) single on Kitsune, will hit the shelves on Nov. 10. The unsigned Echo Park natives Filip Nikolic and John Dal Santo have remixed the likes of The Klaxons, Chromeo, The Teenagers, and The Gossip, and are now, having recently made their live debut at the Detour Festival in L.A., finally putting the finishing touches on their as-yet-unnamed first full-length. While you wait for this club gem to drop, catch the boys on tour somewhere between Mexicali and Ottawa, or tap into this exclusive track right here.
